Naturalea has won the ECOMEDBIO EFIB European Soil and water Bioengineering Award for the best executed work with soil and water bioengineering techniques

The “Camí del bosc”, located in the Roques Blanques Metropolitan Cemetery (El Papiol-Barcelona) is the project for which Naturalea has received the ECOMEDBIO EFIB European Soil and water bioengineering Award for the best executed work with Soil and water bioengineering techniques.

Naturalea collaborated with Batlle i Roig Arquitectura on the project and subsequently carried out the award-winning execution: a 95m long cribwall Krainer.

The “Camí del Bosc” consists of a group of graves that allows to bury biodegradable urns of natural wood with the ashes of the deceased in the Roques Blanques cemetery, which redefines the traditional model of burials and cremations, applying criteria that respect the environment, using innovative constructive solutions and guaranteeing a sustainable and integrated action within the Collserola Natural Park.
